2024 - Digital Photography I Final
Inspired by Thomas Wilfred's Lumia, I wanted to manipulate and distort light using glass, then capture what the camera lens would see. Thomas Wilfred controlled light using a lot of setup and glass forms to refract light, so I took into account that there would need to be a lot of setup behind the process. Items used were small and tall glasses, a magnifying glass, water, and objects around me such as my computer monitor, mirrors, and lights.

2024 - Uncomfortable
Photography, film, and art can portray a large variety of emotions to its audience. When thinking about what would make me most uncomfortable, it would be basements due to the lack of light, the unknown, and abandonment. I first photographed my own basement, then I wanted to photograph abandoned darkrooms at my university. Because it was locked and due to the possible issue of photographing a restricted area, I had to get special permission from security to photograph the darkrooms.

2024 - DSLR Camera and Lightroom, Exposure and Lighting Testing
Before I took the course at my university, Digital Photography I, I never used a real handheld camera before besides my phone. When I got the chance to choose what to photograph outdoors as part of my first project, I wanted to photograph my neighborhood.. Sitting next to a lake on a hill, I wanted to capture nature surrounding where I lived, taking each detail I had not noticed as much as before in order to get familiar with a camera and exposure settings.
